Dr. Geno MarcoviciPhD, DABAAHP

Researcher, scientific entrepreneur, and founder of Continuum Innovative — with more than three decades of hypothesis-driven investigation spanning follicular biology, androgen signaling, anti-inflammatory pathway modulation, and translational therapeutic development.

Dr. Geno Marcovici is the founder and principal investigator of Continuum Innovative, and serves concurrently as Chief Scientific Officer of Advanced Restoration Technologies, Inc. and TrichoCyte LLC. Across more than thirty years of sustained scientific inquiry, his work has consistently bridged rigorous academic investigation with real-world translational application.

His earliest published contribution — the first randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to demonstrate efficacy of a botanically derived 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor in androgenetic alopecia (2002) — established a methodological and mechanistic foundation that subsequent investigators have built upon for more than two decades. Later work, conducted in active collaboration with the State University of New York's Center for Functional Genomics, extended this thesis into the molecular domain by demonstrating measurable suppression of LPS-activated inflammatory gene expression in human keratinocytes.

More recent investigation has integrated nanotechnology-enabled delivery — specifically β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes — into clinically observable follicular response, culminating in the TrichoCyte® formulation platform and its 2020 publication in Cosmetics (MDPI).

That trajectory continues into the present. In 2025, in collaboration with CryoConcepts LP, Dr. Marcovici co-authored a first-in-field innovative-practice report in the Journal of Complementary Research and Alternative Medicine describing the use of a cryo-chilled, CO₂-bolstered delivery device to amplify the nano-botanical platform in advanced-stage androgenetic alopecia. Phenotypic reversal observed by day 90 was sufficient to terminate the planned 270-day protocol 180 days ahead of schedule — re-establishing the program at the leading edge of follicular regenerative medicine. The full arc — from hypothesis through molecular mechanism through clinical translation and now device-augmented amplification — defines the current scientific direction of Continuum Innovative.
